TurningPoint Launches Web-based Response Service for Smartphones and Laptops

Bookmark and Share

TurningPoint, which sells classroom response systems, has launched a Web-based service that works on AT&T-powered wireless smartphones, including the iPhone, BlackBerry, and laptops.

ResponseWare Web can work within a traditional classroom environment or remotely for distance learning. Additionally, since the mobile application can be used on Web-enabled devices that students may already posses, the service reduces the number of clickers or other peripheral classroom equipment required in the class.

Interactive student response systems enable real-time student polling and offer analysis of responses, allowing the faculty member to address student questions or misconceptions on the fly. Poll results can then be stored for future analysis or aggregated and displayed in chart or graph form so instructors can assess student comprehension and gather real-time feedback.

The solution is available online or through a subscription-based service that students or institutions can activate on their mobile devices.
