Skyward Debuts K-12 Mass Notification System

Bookmark and Share

Software developer Skyward has launched a new mass notification system designed specifically for K-12 schools. Dubbed Skylert, the system is also designed to integrate with Skyward's Family Access system.

Skylert is designed to send notifications via e-mail, phone, and text in the event of emergency, targeting parents, students, and staff. According to the company, it can send "thousands of notifications in less than three minutes through multiple mediums to ensure the emergency message is received."

Skylert integrates with Family Access, a Web-based information and communications system for schools available as a module for the company's Student Management System. This allows parents of students to set their own preferences for how they wish to receive notifications. Parents can access and change these preferences at any time.

The new notification system is available now.
