Learn.net Expands into Blended Learning

Bookmark and Share

Training services provider Learn.net this week announced the acquisition of distance learning and collaboration software from Savant Technology Group. The acquisition is part of Learn.net's move into blended learning to provide training services for public and private sectors.

The new technologies include two-way video and audio communications, audience measurement tools, application sharing, whiteboarding, chat, and blogs, all aimed at the delivery of learning materials for training purposes.

"This acquisition completes our holistic software suite; we now provide technology solutions to accommodate the full spectrum of training environments--from instructor-led classes to satellite-delivered IDL to internet- and LMS-based on-demand and live interactive training," said Johan Praats, executive vice president of Learn.net. "These solutions do not operate in a vacuum as 'islands' but are all pre-integrated elements of an enterprise-class training system."

The company said its solutions are targeted squarely at WebEx, Arel, and OneTouch Systems offerings.
