Mitsubishi Education Projector Blasts 5,000 Lumens
Mitsubishi this month will release its new WL6700U, an LCD projector for the education market that boasts a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of 5,000 ANSI lumens.
The new wide-format model, designed for education installations (such as auditoriums or large lecture halls), offers a resolution of 1,366 x 800 (roughly WXGA) using three 1.2-inch 3LCD inorganic panels.
Other features include:
- 5,000 ANSI lumens of brightness;
- 1,000:1 contrast ratio;
- DVI, component (BNC), Mini D-Sub 15-pin, composite, and S-video connectivity;
- Networking support via RJ45 jack for monitoring and control;
- Built-in motion sensors and anti-theft alarm; and
- Powered zoom and focus.
The WL6700U is expected to ship in April at a suggested price of $9,995 with a three-year warranty on parts and labor and a 90-day warranty on the lamp. Further information can be found on Mitsubishi's presentations site here.
