CDW-G Releases Security Self-Assessment for Schools
Last month we reported on a study by CDW Government (CDW-G) "K-12 School Safety Index 2007," a research study that measured the state of data and physical security in American K-12 schools. Now CDW-G has released a self-assessment tool for districts to measure their levels of safety for themselves.
The School Safety Index Self-Assessment Tool allows administrators to participate in CDW-G’s School Safety Index survey and "receive instant scores to learn how their school or district compares to the national school safety average," CDW-G said in a statement released yesterday.
The Self-Assessment Tool measures school security preparedness in 14 areas broken into four categories: Cyber Security Indicators, Physical Security Indicators, Cyber Security Contra Indicators, and Physical Security Contra Indicators. The tool is available online at the link below.
