K12 Alerts Let Schools Send Real-Time Emergency Messages

K12 Alerts is an emergency messaging platform from Message Logix (www.k12alerts.com) that enables school districts to send real-time emergency messaging (e.g., weather alerts, school closings, calendar of events, etc.) to parents and staff via e-mail and/or SMS text-based cell phone messages (up to 160 characters). For parents, the product features an online “My Account”system to maintain their emergency contact information and their children’s information, 24/7. In addition, superintendents and administrators can use the system to quickly analyze who has received and opened important notifications, as well as track Web site click-through rates.
