AOL@School Collaboration Launches Virtual Hate-Crime Program

Through a partnership with WILL Interactive (www.willinteractive.com), AOL@School (www.aolatschool.com) will now feature WILL’s Virtual Experience Immersive Learning Simulations (VEILSTM), which are a cross between a feature film and video game, and provide students with experiential learning to help improve their critical-thinking and decisionmaking skills. The new collaboration is launching with the “Hate Comes Home” program, which helps high school students navigate the issues of hate crimes, discrimination, and bias by having them make life-altering decisions while playing the role of one of the program’s four characters. Through the AOL@School site, educators can also access teaching materials and purchase the complete program.
