Cyber Sentinel Network

Security Software Systems’ Cyber Sentinel Network restricts access to material that school officials wish to prevent their students from viewing. The program not only offers filtering and blocks sexually explicit material, it also allows administrators to define words and phrases that their institution considers unacceptable. Cyber Sentinel Network monitors, filters and blocks inappropriate information that’s created in e-mail messages and attachments, in chats and instant messages, and in all Windows applications. When a user types in any disallowed material or attempts to access it via the Internet, the program sends an e-mail notification to the appropriate official. The program also has a time-management feature that reduces nonproductive Internet activity. Security Software Systems Inc., Sugar Grove, IL, (888) 835-7278, www.securitysoft.com.
